Dave Fergus is a partner with the firm Rice Fergus Miller Architecture & Planning in Bremerton, Washington. His firm specializes in the design of fire and emergency services facilities, and strategic planning for fire districts and departments. Mr. Fergus has consulted on over one hundred fire and emergency services projects over the last ten years, including fire stations, training props, vehicle maintenance facilities, administration buildings, Emergency Operation Centers and 911 Dispatch Facilities. Mr. Fergus consults regularly on strategic planning issues concerning station location, partnering on capital projects, and project feasibility.

Dave is also an elected official on the Board of Fire Commissioners for Central Kitsap Fire & Rescue. Together with the other commissioners on this five-member board, Mr. Fergus is responsible for setting policy and direction for the district's operations, administration, and finances.

Mr. Fergus is a published author on fire station design issues, a past speaker for Fire Rescue International, a past member of the Kitsap County Fire Safety Advisory Board, and has volunteered on a number of citizens committees. He is an active member of the Washington Fire Commissioners Association, and will hold the position of Secretary/Treasurer for their executive board during 2012.
